How Virtualization Changed the Digital Landscape

virtualization

VR is finding its place within the heart of all innovations quickly. The major companies are investing in virtual reality because of the growing trend. The entertainment sector is moving at an outstanding speed into virtualization because technology continues to grow at a high speed.

Gaming

It is understandable that the most obvious sector to use VR technology is gaming. VR offers its users experience like never before. The three-dimensional environment allows an individual to interact while playing a game. The famous example of VR gaming is Pokémon Go, Batman and Arizona Sunshine.

Art and Museums

For the young generation except for very few museumgoers, visiting an art gallery is very boring. These trips can be a dull experience not just only for youth but also for kids. But we can make it interesting and interactive by using virtual reality. Just like the British Museum launched a VR experience for users around the world to take a view of the museum by using a virtual reality headset.

Virtual Cinema

According to a report if the film industry starts using virtual reality technology it could add revenue more than $7 billion. The improved experience of watching movie realized by investors and studios like Warner Bros and Disney are now focusing on creating virtual reality content for their users.

Facebook and Microsoft also take a step towards virtual reality and spending some huge money in order to make more development in this industry.

Social media

As mentioned above Facebook and Microsoft is also in this field and they are launching their own VR handsets. Facebook recently observed that about one million hours of the social media content is watched through Samsung’s Gear VR hardware, and from that moment Mark Zuckerberg acquired Oculus VR. Mark wanted a cost efficient and good quality VR set so that everyone can have their hands on it. Another company AltSpace Vr offers a system where anybody can watch live concerts, shows, or meet people without moving away from the house.

Sports

Virtualization has a strong impact on the sports segment as well. 360 degrees cameras are now being used in main events, starting from 2016 the Summer Olympic Games with VR streaming although it was for a limited time the attempt went successfully.
