From Facebook to Instagram everyone is launching something new in this pandemic coronavirus so LinkedIn came up with an idea to keep employers connected with their candidates via Video.
The main aim behind this video service launched is to find efficient and quality candidates and this will be a very effective hiring process. LinkedIn is currently testing this newly launch feature globally to evaluate a candidate’s communication skills and soft skills before setting up a proper interview.
In the video promo that introduces the service, when an employer receives a candidate’s application for a job, then he can invite the better candidate to answer the questions from the selected range such as “Tell me about yourself”, “What is your greatest strength?” and “Describe your most challenging project?”. Candidates have options to give answers via video recording or written response. This will be the closest way to a physical interview and from that employer’s perspective, they can assess easily a candidate.
LinkedIn shared this news on its business forum last week and described that by this feature it is a great opportunity for candidates to showcase their skills, experience, and who they are in person. To ease some pressure from candidates LinkedIn made an option of a re-recording facility to the candidates in order to make a compelling video.
After the video service, LinkedIn in focusing on bringing augmented reality in the interview process. The name of the feature is an augmented interview feedback tool. Once the candidate answers the questions, they will be evaluated through the AI feedback program.
