Google will charge you $999 for its augmented reality Glass. Google Glass has an improved version of the processor, better camera, USB-C port for fast charging and lots of other important updates.

The design of the Glass has not changed so much it is still the old head up display type. The design is not comparable with Microsoft HoloLens headsets. Google uses Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 technology which is designed for augmented reality purposes.

Now that Google Glass has XR1 the processing is improved and as mentioned by Google that with the help of Snapdragon XR1 the new Google Glass Headset can integrate with advanced machine learning and computer vision capabilities.

Apart from this Google already launches a computer vision tool named Google Lens which can translate any language to your desired one, sign translations and recommendations based on your past experience.

By collaborating with Smith Optics, Google is adding new safety frames and also enhancing battery life with other improved mechanisms. The Glass Headset can now run on Android. Earlier there was no news of it coming into Android but later Google planned Glass Headset Edition 2 to come up with Android.

Previously, Google was hit with privacy concern because of the privacy and functionality of the Glass Headset but then Google shifted its focus from general public to some groups that include Surgeons, industrial units workers and other professionals.

Google is claiming that they sped up their production line, giving improved quality with a decrease in cost. The original Explorer Edition cost $1,500 and this Enterprise Edition 2 is at $999.

Not just Google is working on virtual reality; there are other renowned companies as well who are planning to bring their own augmented reality glasses including Microsoft, Epson and Vuzix.
