The HomePod developed by Apple’s Siri based speakers is launched to compete with Amazon’s Echo and Google Home.
Apple has combined a smart speaker with amazing sound quality. As we all know the Apple does not compromise on the quality and we have seen a glimpse of it in HomePod. The audio sound quality is what makes it different than its competitors such as Google Home and Amazon Echo.
Features
The HomePod is 6.8 inches tall but includes a variety of cool features. The 4 inch woofer is what makes the sound more clear and distortion-free even in max volume.
Having the ability to read longitude and latitude, it analyzes the room and adjust according to it for a maximum and clear sound. HomePod included 1GB of RAM in order for a smooth process. The outer layer is protected by 3D mesh fabric keenly selected for audio enhancement.
HomePod has a built in Siri support and can be integrated with Apple Music, the 6 microphone array can easily detect voice command from anywhere in the room. Siri has a very important function in this HomePod is to secure your privacy.
Apple has inserted a visible LED waveform, what it does is whenever a user says “Hey Siri” it will glow so a user knows that Siri is listening and when it’s not glowing that means Siri is not monitoring what you are talking. All the communication between Siri and Apple servers is completely anonymous and encrypted.
The HomePod is not just for music as you can do other normal stuff as well such as weather reports, finding of road traffic, find other Apple devices, make a phone call, play podcasts, sent messages, play live radio stations, set multiple timers, and many more.
Another feature which is good for privacy concern is when the main user whose iCloud account is integrated with HomePod is not near the device then you can only access one feature of the HomePod and that is Apple Music. Both primary and HomePod needs to be on the same network in order to operate full fledge.
